One of nature's most awe-inspiring events is coming to Kansas City.

WHAT IS A SOLAR ECLIPSE?

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and Earth and blocks all or part of the sun. Our Jowler Creek Winery location will experience nearly three minutes of total solar eclipse, with the sun's light blocked out completely by the moon.

WHY SHOULD I VIEW IT AT JOWLER CREEK WINERY?

There are few places close to a major metropolitan area in the path of totality. Jowler Creek Winery will experience two minutes and 23 seconds of total eclipse, offering extended viewing of this incredible event from the comfort of a beautiful vineyard and winery just 25 minutes from Kansas City.

SAFETY

It's important to protect your eyes during the eclipse. Visitors to the KC Eclipse & Sips Festival will each receive a pair of safety glasses that can be used to protect their eyes while viewing the eclipse. NASA has provided a handy chart (below) to give guidance for when to wear the glasses.
